FEMA Guidelines for NRIs
Under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA), Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) can freely purchase immovable property in India (excluding agricultural land/plantation property/farmhouses).
